06.08.2014

The planned volume of funding of the repair program of IDGC of Centre - Smolenskenergo division in the second half of 2014 will amount to 113.92 million rubles. These funds will be spent on the repair of power lines, substations, buildings and structures, transport and ROW clearing.

Smolensk power engineers of IDGC of Centre in the second half of 2014 will have to perform an impressive amount of work. It is planned to repair 806.16 km of 110 kV overhead lines (Conductors), 526.16 km of 35 kV power lines, 750.838 km of 6-10 kV power lines and 142.10 km of 0.4 kV distribution networks. The total length of the repaired lines in quarters III and IV of 2014 exceeds the same period of the previous year by 83.7 km.

During this period it is planned to clear 199.16 hectares of ROWs of 110 kV Conductors, 234.31 hectares of 35 kV Conductors and 589.36 hectares of 6-10 kV Conductors, as well as to repair 297 transformer substations of 6-10/0.4 kV.

As a rule, most of the work falls annually on the second and third quarters of the year. In the summer it is planned to perform comprehensive renovation of 15 substations of 35-110 kV with a total capacity of 293.7 MW. The most important of them are the 110/35/6 kV SS "Roslavl", the 110/35/10 kV SS "Desnogorsk" and the 110/35/10 kV SS "Khislavichi". The repair of substations goes throughout the year of 2014, but 71% of the plan (or 15 substations) will be renovated during the summer months. This will allow to improve the overall reliability of the power system and provide quality and uninterrupted power supply to consumers.

When performing maintenance work at power facilities Smolensk power engineers of IDGC of Centre apply modern technologies and materials, thereby increasing the lifecycle of the equipment and reducing the cost of scheduled maintenance.

Qualitative performance of the repair program will allow timely to prepare for the upcoming winter. According to the power engineers, high-quality repair of equipment in the summer is the key to trouble-free operation, reliable operation of power equipment and uninterrupted power supply to consumers in the autumn-winter peak loads.
