30.04.2014

350 employees of Kurskenergo participated in the campaign IDGC of Centre "Let’s save the energy of the forest". The event took place in the executive office and 30 Distribution Zones of the branch. In total, over 750 trees were planted during it.

The largest event during the campaign was held in the village of Vorobyevka in Zolotukhinsky district of the Kursk region, where there is an estate of the great Russian poet Athanasius Fet. In this picturesque corner the power engineers planted an alley of firs in honour of the 10th anniversary of IDGC of Centre. Together with them the ceremony was attended by representatives of the NGO "Opora Russia", the Union of Writers and Union of Journalists of the Kursk region, students of the Southwest State University.

The place for planting trees was chosen not accidentally. Currently the house - museum of the poet is actively being restored. The look of the estate is being remodelled with photographs, and judging by the pictures conifers grew on the hillside above the estate. Fifty young firs, planted by the power engineers, will help restore the original landscape. Staff of the house - museum plan to arrange flower beds around the trees and restore the fountain, which was located there before.

"Every summer the estate for Fet’s readings gathers thousands of fans of the poet from all over Russia", said a researcher of the museum "A. Fet’s Manor" Antonina Yakovleva. "Now they will feel here more cozy and comfortable. Thanks to Kurskenergo so much for taking the initiative, help and responsiveness!"

"The ecological campaign "Let’s save the energy of the forest" is designed to restore impaired with abnormal phenomena or as a result of human influence natural balance of Russia", stressed Acting Deputy General Director of IDGC of Centre - Kurskenergo division director Alexander Rudnevsky. "We will be pleased to come here in a few years to see the restored historic image of the mansion and once again realize that the employees of Kurskenergo also made a worthy contribution to this good business!"
