Specialists of Kurskenergo increase the reliability of grids

Power engineers of IDGC of Centre - Kurskenergo division increase the reliability of distribution networks of 0.4-10 kV in the Kursk region. Work is being performed in the framework of the repair program for 2014, which started in all administrative areas within the service area of the company.

The plans of Kurskenergo are to repair within the year 2,046 km of power lines of 10-0.4 kV, replace 4,655 poles and 305 km of wire. In addition, the Kursk power engineers will repair 409 transformer substations of 10-0.4 kV and 155 transformers of 10/0.4 kV, clear more than 700 hectares of ROWs along power lines in order to improve the reliability of distribution networks.

For two months of 2014 specialists of Kurskenergo refurbished two transformer substations and 25 transformers of 10/0.4 kV, replaced 28 poles, and cleared more than 85 hectares of ROWs.

"Implementation of activities of the repair program in 2014 in full and in a timely manner will ensure stable operation of power grid facilities, reliable power supply to consumers of the Kursk region," stressed Deputy Chief Engineer - Head of Production Asset Management Centre of IDGC of Centre - Kurskenergo division Vyacheslav Istomin.
