Kurskenergo summed up the preliminary results of 2013

IDGC of Centre - Kurskenergo division summed up the preliminary results of 2013.

The 55th year anniversary of the Kursk power grid the company’s team finished with good results. The volume of supply of electric power exceeded 5 billion 162 million kW, which corresponds to the planned targets. Electricity losses amounted to 7.71% of supply to the grid, which is lower by 6.3 million kWh than the plan. 2,209 customers were connected to the grid of Kurskenergo - 17% more than in 2012. The total capacity of contracts executed amounted to 48.24 MW.

Within the investment program Kurskenergo in 2013 constructed more than 230 kilometres of new power lines and 117 package transformer substations with a total capacity of 77.5 MVA. Construction and reconstruction projects of important to the region power facilities were implemented. Among them - the reconstruction of the substation "Gorshechnoye", "Beketovo", "Bykovo", "Medium Olshanka", "Orlovka", "Pristen" and a number of other feeding centres of 35-110 kV, which was performed with a view to connecting agricultural facilities to the grid.

In full production programs were performed to repair and maintain equipment. Kurskenergo’s specialists repaired more than 2,600 km of power lines of all voltage levels, 22 substations of 35 – 110 kV. Clearing of ROWs along 0.4-110 kV overhead lines was performed in an area of 909.6 ha. Implementation of a complex of these activities allowed to improve the reliability of supply centres, to reduce risks of failures.

In the past year, experts of Kurskenergo participated actively in elimination of natural disasters in the Bryansk, Tver, and Kostroma regions, for what they earned appreciation from local authorities.

Customer Service Centres of Kurskenergo successfully coped with the challenges. More than 62 thousand customers – individuals and entities visited Customer Service Centres in 2013 on power supply issues. For comparison, in 2012 the company's Customer Service Centres received about 42 thousand residents of the Kursk region.

IDGC of Centre - Kurskenergo division pays great attention to the training of employees. In the past year, more than two thousand specialists had their training, retraining and advanced training in the Training Centre of operational staff at Kurskenergo and the Office of Housing and Communal Services of Kursk, which helped reduce injuries and increase labour productivity.

Recognition of the important role that the branch plays in the socio-economic development of the Kursk region was the victory of Kurskenergo in the regional competition "Caring for People", which was conducted to identify and disseminate good practices of enterprises, organizations and institutions to ensure the effective implementation of the State Family Policy, measures of social support for employees and their families.

"All the activities of power engineers are ultimately aimed at ensuring reliable and uninterrupted supply of electricity to consumers," stressed Acting Deputy General Director of IDGC of Centre - Kurskenergo division director Alexander Rudnevsky. "The team of Kurskenergo has been successfully coping with this task for over 55 years, and this year our priorities remain unchanged."
