Yarenergo’s football players to compete for the gold in the "Business League 2014"

Yarenergo’s mini-football team will take part in a new tournament "BUSINESS LEAGUE 2014", organized by the magazine "Elite quarter". 8 teams will compete within two months for the title of the best football team among enterprises and organizations of the Yaroslavl region. Competitions will start on the eve of the Fatherland Defender’s Day, and the strongest will be determined in May. Under the rules of the tournament first all teams will play off matches with each other. Further, following the results of these games teams will make up pairs that will meet in a playoff series and will play elimination game.

Before the competitions the branch director Konstantin Kotikov referred with a parting word to the football players, who are power engineers. He wished the players good luck in the competitions, noting the high importance of sports in human life: "Sport not only gives strength and health, but also becomes the key to further success and victories."

Head of Human Resources Lyudmila Rozhdestvenskaya for many years followed the success of the team. She believes that many workouts, will to win and the strength of the corporate spirit is sure to bring the power engineering players to new heights. "Dare, win, go ahead!" she says.

Sports activities have long been part of corporate culture for power engineers. In Yarenergo for most of them sport is not just a hobby. Equal to the power industry it takes one of the main places in their lives. Yarenergo’s trade union organization helps a lot with the development of a healthy lifestyle among employees.

Yarenergo’s mini-football team was founded in 2007. The main players of the team are team members of the executive office of Yarenergo, among them there are experienced amateur athletes. Yarenergo’s team is a permanent participant in all corporate events of IDGC of Centre, over the years it represents Yaroslavl in tournaments among 11 branches of the company.

In 2012, the team took 3rd place at the Cup of IDGC of Centre in mini-football, in 2013 - 4th place in Summer Games of IDGC of Centre. In all matches with other teams of the Yaroslavl branch of the company players of the team were winning consistently in the past four years.

In 2013 Yarenergo’s team started participating in matches with other organizations and associations. Among the latest achievements of the team is 2nd place in the football championship among participants of the nationwide tourist gathering "Commonwealth", where the power engineers competed with teams of more than forty organizations; silver in large interregional competitions in the city of Rybinsk, the participants of which were not only amateurs, but also professional players.
