On February 1, 2014 electricity consumers in the cities of Nelidovo, Toropets, Western Dvina, Andreapol switched to service of IDGC of Centre - Tverenergo division.
Expanding the boundaries of the service area of the Tver branch of IDGC of Centre as a supplier of last resort in the territory of the Tver region is due to the liquidation of LLC "Tveroblenergosbyt" (the ruling of the Arbitration Court of the Tver region dated January 10, 2014 on the recognition of LLC "Tveroblenergosbyt" bankrupt) and the resolution of the Ministry of Energy (Order #18 dated 23.02.2014) on granting the status of a supplier of last resort to IDGC of Centre.
In the short term experts of the Tver branch of IDGC of Centre took a number of measures aimed at the organization of retail activities in these areas, as well as operational check of readings for the consumers – individuals and legal entities.
According to Deputy General Director of IDGC of Centre - Tverenergo division director Andrey Polyakov, now the branch’s retail office serves more than 17,000 legal entities and 720,000 residential customers, maintaining a leading position in the Tver region. The company makes every effort so that the transition period goes as comfortably and unnoticed for residents. Among the priorities of the near future are improving payment discipline, conducting contract campaign in these areas, the maximum expansion of the line of services for consumers and increasing customer base.
Consumers – legal entities have been sent offers for power supply contracts from the new supplier of last resort. It should be noted that the change of a supplier of last resort does not entail changes in the terms of power supply contracts, methods of calculation of payments and the cost of electricity. Money from the public for the consumed electric energy is still accepted in a familiar way: in all offices of Sberbank and Post of Russia, as well as in Customer Service Centres. Everywhere there is no commission fee. They need to pay for electricity until the 25th day of each month. Payments for electricity in February should be transferred to IDGC of Centre - Tverenergo division. Consumers at Customer Service Centres in the region are offered additional services. Customers can not only pay the bill for the electricity consumed, but also apply for grid connection, order installation of a meter, etc.
Tverenergo undertakes to continue providing quality and reliable power supply and making the process of serving its customers in the Tver region as comfortable and open as possible. The main attention is paid to maintaining the socio-economic stability in the Tver region.
Please, be reminded that IDGC of Centre - Tverenergo division from May 1, 2013 has been successfully performing the functions of a supplier of last resort in the region, providing electricity to homes and businesses in the Upper Volga. The changes occurred in connection with the deprivation because of overdue debt of the status of a wholesale market participant from the previous supplier of last resort in the Tver region - OJSC "Tverenergosbyt". To date, the Tver branch of IDGC of Centre is a responsible member of the wholesale market, well respecting payment deadlines and as the only supplier of last resort in the region selling electricity to independent retailers.
