Hotline of power engineering specialists:
53 students of the Belgorod Industrial College, who specialize in «technological operation and maintenance of electrical and electromechanical equipment», have started their practice at enterprises of IDGC of Centre — Belgorodenergo division. As part of the dual training the fourth year students have their practical work, third year students are practicing their specialty, acquiring skills in subdivisions of the energy company in different districts of the region. The training will take from 3-4 weeks to several months and will continue until 15 December 2013.
The dual training program was developed by teachers of the industrial college together with specialists of Belgorodenergo under the regional government resolution «On the long-term target program «Development of Professional Education of the Belgorod region in 2011-2015». It is designed for students to acquire practical experience in the electricity industry.
The company entered into an individual contract of dual training with each student, each has an assigned mentor who teaches him or her practical skills and techniques. The young people learn the work basics in the company, visit energy facilities, study rules and regulations of labor protection and safety, try their hand at solving real industrial problems.
According to their supervisors, the students are interested in this form of training, as it gives the opportunity to gain practical skills in the specialized professions, study the work of the enterprise inside and show themselves for further employment.
Belgorodenergo has interest in the outcome of the dual training as well, because in the future today’s students will grow into good specialists, whose skills will be formed by the needs of the enterprise.
