Repair of Yaroslavl power facilities goes in accordance with the schedule

In the first half of the year IDGC of Centre — Yarenergo division completed 100% of the planned for the period repair campaign. The repair and overhaul of equipment will be fully performed in October before the start of the autumn-winter operation period.

For six months in 2013 Yaroslavl power engineers repaired 462.2 km of overhead lines of 110 kV and 0.4 kV, 2.8 km of cable lines and 156 transformer substations in all municipal districts of the region. To reduce the risk of technological failures and simplify the work of operating personnel 482.6 km of ROWs along power lines were cleared in the service area of Yarenergo.

During the year, the branch’s specialists will repair 18 major supply centres of the Yaroslavl region. The work has already been completed at six substations (SS). At other ten substations the overhaul is under way. The most important of them are the SS 110/10kV «Nekouz» and SS 110/10kV «Friendship» (city of Danilov) — they supply power to district centres with all the infrastructure and social facilities, as well as the SS 110/35/10 kV «Danilov — traction» that feeds a section of the railway.

In addition, at four large power substations power engineers are performing element by element repair, which is part of a comprehensive renovation, which will be completed in the repair campaign of 2014. In particular, it is the SS 110/35/10/6 kV «Pischalkino», which feeds the railroad and several settlements in Nekouzsky and neighbouring districts, and the SS 110/35/6 kV «Pereslavl», which supplies power to the city of Pereslavl and Pereslavsky district.

The main target of the repair campaign is quality preparation of the electric grid complex for the autumn-winter operation period. Plans and schedules of repairs are made on the basis of an annual review of the technical condition of facilities, which minimizes the risk of emergency situations and increases the reliability of electricity supply to consumers.
