In the Yaroslavl region a repair of the substation «Kamenniki» has begun

Staff of IDGC of Centre — Yarenergo division has started overhaul of the substation 35/6 kV «Kamenniki» in Rybinsk district of the region. It provides electricity to the settlement of Kamenniki: its residential sector, a sewage treatment plant, and a plant for concrete structures production.

Yarenergo’s costs at the facility will be approximately 1 million rubles. During the renovation the power engineers will replace worn parts of high voltage circuit breakers, disconnect switches, power transformers and substation relay protection. Its surge protection will also be improved — modern high-voltage surge arresters will be installed instead of the old substation lightning protectors.

Yaroslavl power engineers decided to include this facility in the repair program of 2013 after the compulsory technical inspection, testing equipment and calculation of the health index of grid elements. At the end of June, when the repair is complete, the reliability of electricity supply of the settlement will increase and service of the substation will be safer.
