On the eve of the Day of Russia in the Tambov region administration a ceremony of presenting state awards of the Russian Federation took place. For decent labour achievements on that day professionals of health, education and culture were distinguished. The honorary title and a badge «Honoured Power Engineer of the Russian Federation» was given to the head of the Tambov section of Department of relay protection and automation of IDGC of Centre — Tambovenergo division Anatoly Konovalov.
The ceremony was opened by the Head of the Tambov region administration Oleg Betin. In his opening speech, the governor said: «Presenting state awards is a very honorable and responsible mission. Today, respected and authoritative countrymen gathered in this hall, who have done a lot for the development of various sectors of the economy and the social sphere. These awards are personal, deserved score of their work. It is nice to know that they all, without exception, work as a team in our region, which now achieves such high results.»
According to Decree of the President of the Russian Federation, Vladimir Putin, # 243 of March 19, 2013 for his merits in the field of energy, labour achievements and many years of diligent work a state award was given to Anatoly Konovalov. This title is assigned to highly skilled specialists of the energy sector for services to the industry’s development, creation, design and development of new types of energy equipment and installations, for implementation of advanced technologies in construction, installation and operation of energy facilities, for achievements in scientific research, energy conservation, production, implementation of innovations, and training of personnel.
Anatoly Konovalov is a native of the Tambov region. Over thirty years of his life he has devoted to work in the energy sector. So after finishing his secondary school, he entered the Moscow Institute of Railway Engineers at the Department «Electrification of the railroad».
After his military service in the Soviet Army, Anatoly Konovalov returned to his small homeland and began to work at the Tambov Distribution Zone of Tambovenergo as an engineer in the service of relay protection, automation and surge protection. The power engineer was repeatedly awarded departmental rewards, and is a mentor of young professionals.
After receiving the award from the hands of the head of the regional administration, in his response, Anatoly Konovalov stressed: «Energy is collective labour. True professionals work at our service. We always support each other.»
