A sports day was held in Yarenergo

IDGC of Centre — Yarenergo division held sports competitions among employees of the executive office and Distribution Zones of the branch. These events became a tradition and take place in the branch every year.

Supporting sports hobbies and holding competitions is part of the social policy of Yarenergo. Physical education, the desire to improve their athletic performance, especially in the team competition, strengthens team spirit and develops a sense of responsibility of the branch employees. These qualities help power engineers in their daily work, improve their professionalism and ability to work.

This year, the power engineers competed in swimming, volleyball, table tennis, weightlifting and throwing balls in the basket. The sports day was attended by the most active and physically fit employees of Yarenergo. Everyone wanted to win, and there was serious passion at the courts. Swimmers at the last gasp broke through to the finish line, volleyball players did not hide their excitement — hit the ball and rushed to the defense, not being afraid to get bruises and scratches. Tennis players showed their virtuosic technique — the ball flashed over the net, not knowing which side will get its final blow. When strongmen took up the weights, the judges were brought down while counting, and throws of the most accurate power engineers could be envied by NBA players.

Prizes were distributed as follows. The best volleyball players were athletes from the team of the North substation. The first place in the table tennis competition was won by Operator of Poshekhonsky Distribution Zone Alexander Kryilov. In swimming, the winner was Specialist of grid connections Svetlana Kamzolova. The leader of the men’s swimming was Electrician of Yaroslavl Distribution Zone Anton Ivanov. In weightlifting the gold went to Rostov — Electrician Denis Dunaev showed impressive results in the exercises with a 16-kilogram weight: 95 in the pull-up and 180 in the push-off. The most accurate basketball throws were demonstrated by Andrey Pavlov from Poshekhonsky Distribution Zone.
