Transit of electricity in the territory of Belgorod and Prokhorovsky districts will be more reliable

IDGC of Centre — Belgorodenrego division has started a major reconstruction of a 185-metre section at the intersection of four 110 kV transit lines from the 110 kV substations «Belomestnoye», «Prokhorovka», «Sazhnoye», «Alexandrovka» and «Rzhava».

Modernization is provided for with the investment program of the branch and is designed to improve the reliability of power supply of railway service, as well as consumers of Belgorod and Prokhorovsky districts. More than 2.5 million rubles will be spent on the project. The work is scheduled to be performed in several phases with the implementation of back-up power supply circuits, so consumers will not feel power outages.

As part of this project, experts have already completed the design of reconstruction of overhangs of the Conductor-110 kV to the substation «Alexandrovka» in Prokhorovsky district. The power engineers are removing the old concrete poles, will install a special anchoring angle base, wiring, ground wire, will replace insulation with shackle, and then connect the wires in the loops. The work completion is scheduled for the beginning of the autumn-winter 2013-2014 period.
