Voronezhenergo increases the volume of grid connection

IDGC of Centre — Voronezhenergo division summed up on the grid connection for 2012. Over this period, the branch received over 8100 applications for grid connection, higher than in 2011 by 21.4%. A significant increase in the grid connection, according to experts of the branch, is due to the development of small and medium businesses in the region, the growth of individual housing construction and other large commercial, industrial, agricultural and infrastructure facilities.

All in all the power engineers in the past year executed 4824 contracts for grid connection to the networks of the branch with a total capacity of 147.25 MW. Among the major facilities connected to the grid — a plant of «Siemens Transformers» LLC, a complex of apartment buildings of CJSC «VMF — 2», facilities of OJSC «Voronezh Grid Company», a plant to manufacture elevator equipment and grain cleaning devices of «Voronezhselmash» LLC.

Last year the volume of completed contracts for privileged customers was also increased. Compared with 2011, the number of connected customers of the privileged category grew up by 14.5%, the connected power — by 18%.
