IDGC of Centre — Voronezhenergo division summed up the training of personnel in civil defense, prevention and liquidation of emergency situations in 2012.
Power engineers performed the plan of the main activities. According to it, Voronezhenergo planned and carried out joint special tactical exercises and facility trainings. Last year the branch took part in the five command post exercises and six staff exercise conducted by General Directorate of EMERCOM of Russia in the Voronezh region and Government Institution “Civil Defense, Civil Protection and Fire Safety of the Voronezh region”.
The exercises were attended by staff of Anninsky, Bobrovsky, Buturlinovsky, Liskinsky, Novousmansky and Talovsky Distribution Zones under command of heads and chief engineers of the Distribution Zones involving operators of operational and technological services and duty operators of operational and technological groups of the Distribution Zones.
During the reporting period 5 managers of Voronezhenergo were trained in the Training Centre of Emergencies and Civil Defense of the Voronezh region. In subdivisions of the branch at work 3214 employees and 281 specialists from the emergency-rescue teams had their training with the use of off-campus learning technologies.
According to the head of mobilization and civil defense Sergey Durnev, the goals and objectives of the previous year on the training have been achieved in full. “During the training, Voronezh power engineers confirmed readiness for rapid response and correct tactical behaviour in emergency situations. High level of readiness of managers, operational staff and emergency repair crews to act in emergency situations can prevent, as well as timely and fully eliminate the possibility of disaster at power facilities, thereby increasing the reliability and quality of electricity supply for customers in the region,” — stressed Sergey Durnev.
