Last year, IDGC of Centre — Bryanskenergo division signed 1057 contracts for grid connection with a total capacity of 76.3 MW. This is 40 MW more than in 2011. The growing number of applications is due to mass development of housing neighborhoods of the city of Bryansk, and development of livestock and agriculture in the region.
In previous years, residential customers contacted the branch more often than entities. Thus, the number of requests of physical persons regarding connection of electricity totalled 667 requests with a total capacity of 5.7 MW. Most residential customers requested connection of their dwelling houses. Last year 475 contracts for a total capacity of 71.5 MW were signed with entities. The largest facilities, which were connected to the networks of the branch in the past year, were a shopping mall of “Region Shopping Mall” LLC and a residential development in the city of Bryansk of “ElTrans” LLC with a total capacity of 1.7 MW.
A number of socially significant facilities was also connected to the networks of Bryanskenergo in 2012 — kindergartens, schools, churches, boilers, water intake and treatment facilities with a total capacity of 1.2 MW; agricultural facilities with a total capacity of 9.6 MW.
This year Bryanskenergo expects some increase in demand for the service “Grid connection” in relation to the introduction of the 2012 changes to the legislation governing the grid connection activity. The changes make the service “Grid connection” more “transparent” and give the applicant the right to choose the method of determining the cost of the service.
