Public Relations of Kurskenergo was presented an award of General Directorate of EMERCOM of Russia

Public Relations of IDGC of Centre — Kurskenergo division was distinguished with a letter of gratitude of the Administration of the Kursk region and award “For strengthening inter-agency cooperation and the promotion of safety of the population and the territory of the Kursk region in 2012”.

Awarding was held in the General Directorate Office of EMERCOM of Russia in the Kursk region, where the work to ensure the safety of the population and territory was summarized.

Specialists of Public Relations regularly informed local residents about the safety measures taken by Kurskenergo — creation of operational headquarters, performing repairs and equipment maintenance plans, emergency response trainings of personnel related to features to prevent accidents at low temperatures, the results of the exercises with the participation of specialists of General Directorate of EMERCOM of Russia in the Kursk region.

More than 600 schoolchildren this year in classes on electrical safety, organized by Kurskenergo, got acquainted with the rules of handling electrical appliances and behaviour in the vicinity of power facilities. Residents of the region also learned about it from news reports of Public Relations of Kurskenergo.

Deputy Governor of the Kursk region Vasily Zubkov, presenting the award to the power engineers, underlined that working together is for the benefit of all residents of the Kursk region. It is also necessary to interact seamlessly and timely communicate important information to the public, and then there will be more reason for good news.
