Kursk power engineers of IDGC of Centre introduce children to the rules of electrical safety

03.12.2012

Specialists of IDGC of Centre — Kurskenergo division conducted lessons on electrical safety for schoolchildren of Kursk, Zheleznogorsky and Lgovsky districts of the Kursk region. About one hundred schoolchildren, ages from 9-14, learned from the power engineers how to handle household appliances, to behave near power facilities and how to act in case of emergency.

The classes were held in the form of a game “question and answer”. The children had the opportunity to share their knowledge about the safety measures and to hear a lot about how to behave in a thunderstorm — at home and outdoors. On the eve of New Year celebrations the experts of Kurskenergo especially focused on the proper handling of festive lights.

At the end of preventive training the young schoolchildren traditionally received in memory bright leaflets on electrical safety, and relevant posters were placed in their schools.

“The lesson, prepared by the experts of Kurskenergo, was very interesting, informative, including for me — underlined Maths Teacher of school # 27 of Kursk Svetlana Sergeeva. — I hope this is not the last meeting, after the New Year we look forward to seeing the power engineers to get to know a robot simulator ‘Gosha’. The children are really eager to see an injured person with electric shock is helped!”
