IDGC of Centre — Yarenergo division held corporate competitions in indoor soccer. For the first time on the same field representatives of Yaroslavl EMERCOM showed their ball playing together with power engineers.
The event was dedicated to the professional holiday — Power Engineers’ Day. It was organized by the trade union of Yarenergo that prepared the sports ground, prizes and gifts for all participants. The tournament was attended by athletes from the executive office and production sites of Yarenergo, picked teams of JSC “Yargorelectroset” (a subsidiary of IDGC of Centre) and General Directorate of EMERCOM in the Yaroslavl region.
Despite the fact that the competitions did not have the professional status, all the teams showed a high level of training. There was a real sporting struggle on the field, excitement was read in the faces and emotions overwhelmed both the team members and fans. Of course, the struggle was of a friendly nature. The main thing in such tournaments — uniting the working group, team spirit and corporate spirit. The participants enjoyed the game and with health benefits had free time in the company of friends and colleagues.
After qualifying games in the subgroups in the final match the teams of the executive office of Yarenergo and EMERCOM met. The regulation game ended in a draw 1:1. The winner of the tournament was identified in a series of penalty shoot outs, where the home team was more accurate, the team of the executive office of Yarenergo. Third place was taken by the team of Yargorelectroset.
“Soccer championships have become a good tradition for us. They are held twice a year, on the Power Engineers’ Day and Day of the Yaroslavl Power System. We always look forward to our new competition participants — teams of enterprises and organizations of the Yaroslavl region. This time the representatives of the Ministry of Emergency Situations joined us, the following May competition, we plan to invite soccer fans of TGC-2 and RTN,” — underlined Chairman of the trade union of IDGC of Centre — Yarenergo division Anton Sukharev.
