Energy audit is completing at facilities of Belgorodenergo

23.11.2012

As part of the state policy of energy saving and energy efficiency, based on the requirements of Federal Law # 261-FZ “On Energy Conservation” IDGC of Centre — Belgorodenergo division is completing its mandatory energy audit of the company.

The main work was started in January 2012, its completion is scheduled for December this year. All 290 facilities of the branch, located in each of the 22 Distribution Zones, have already been examined. They are 112 buildings and structures of more than 50 square metres and 178 substations of 35-110 kV.

The procedure will allow to estimate the current level of energy efficiency of Belgorodenergo, identify priority areas for reducing energy consumption for the production needs of the enterprise, to improve the energy efficiency of transmission through the electricity grids, including reduction of commercial and technical losses in the delivery of electricity.

In the first stage auditors collected and analyzed documentation on energy consumption over the last five years. Then they made an instrumental survey of buildings and structures, using modern complex instrumentation they made an inventory of the equipment to identify possible sources of energy losses.

Today the third phase of the audit is completing — all the received information is being processed, analyzed, necessary calculations are being made and ways to save energy resources are being determined. On the basis of a formed technical report an Energy Certificate and a program of energy conservation and energy efficiency of IDGC of Centre — Belgorodenergo division will be developed. The final phase of the survey — the justification of the Energy Certificate and registration at the Ministry of Energy of the Russian Federation.

The Yakovlevsky Distribution Zone of Belgorodenergo was the first to pass the energy audit procedure. After completing all the recommended measures the saving for 9 months of this year has amounted to more than 140 thousand rubles.

“Energy audit — is, first of all, big research work which is not only a requirement of the state, but has also some useful economic effect. It makes it possible to determine our potential for energy saving and to plan a range of activities with calculations to reduce our own energy consumption and the level of losses,”- stressed Head of energy saving and energy efficiency Office of IDGC of Centre — Belgorodenergo division Natalia Yakshina.
