IDGC of Centre — Bryanskenergo division is performing work to prevent children’s electric injuries. The employees of the branch — Chiefs of District Electrical Networks, employees of the industrial production control and safety Office regularly conduct electrical safety lessons in secondary schools of the city of Bryansk and the Bryansk region. This academic year the branch moved to a new form of preventive work — for the first time lessons on electrical safety are held together with General Directorate of EMERCOM of Russia in the Bryansk region.
Regional General Directorate of EMERCOM was provided with visual aids for training — posters, which in simple terms describe the rules of electrical safety. In October, staff of Supervision Office of General Directorate of EMERCOM Russia in the Bryansk region began to actively use them during lessons on electric and fire safety in the city schools of the regional centre and educational institutions of the Bryansk region.
An agreement on cooperation in prevention work with General Directorate of EMERCOM of the Bryansk region was reached in August at the round table, which was initiated and conducted by Bryanskenergo. In addition to the agency the meeting was attended by representatives of the Department of Education of the Bryansk region, the regional Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Office of RTN. They were also given handouts — posters on electrical safety, timetables with the rules of safe behaviour in the vicinity of power facilities, colouring books and board games “Teach the characters of Russian fairy tales to use electricity”, which they will use in conducting classes in schools, kindergartens, in conversations with juvenile offenders.
According to the united press service of General Directorate of EMERCOM of Russia in the Bryansk region, most of the fires, which occur due to the fault of children, are because of non-compliance with safety regulations by minors when using household electrical appliances. Therefore, the work on the prevention of children’s electric injuries in the Bryansk region should be maintained by the staff of Bryanskenergo of EMERCOM of Russia in the Bryansk region together. The main task of our organizations — to protect children from harm, which can happen if they ignore safety rules being near power facilities, as well as the safety rules for the use of electrical appliances.
