During the first 9 months of 2012, IDGC of Centre — Orelenergo division signed 1680 contracts for a total capacity of about 38 MW. This is almost 14% more than the same period of 2011.
The bulk of applications were received from individuals and small to medium businesses. At the same time, the company has implemented a number of major grid connection projects. In particular, Orelenergo connected the Zarechensky residential neighborhood with 5.8 MW and the Mtsensk power machinery manufacturing plant with its capacity of 3.2 MW.

The grid connection procedure includes mandatory stages: when a customer files an application and documents to a grid company; a contract for grid connection and harmonization of technical conditions; execution of related activities by contractual parties; getting the permit to commission facilities; the actual connection of power installations of the consumer to the electric of the grid company; and making the certificate of grid connection.
