On the eve of the International Day of Elderly Persons IDGC of Centre — Voronezhenergo division honoured their employees who are retired.
Representatives of the Council of Veterans and Youth Council of the branch, and all who wished to express tribute to those who had worked for the power industry in the region for many years, met this day in the auditorium of the Voronezh District of Electrical Networks.
As part of the Presidium of the event veterans of the industry were congratulated by HR Director of IDGC of Centre — Voronezhenergo division Evgeny Novikov, Employee of Department of Social Relations Tatiana Kleymenova, Chairman of the Voronezh regional organization “Russian Electroprofsoyuz” Evgeny Pronyaev, Chairman of the Union of Northern Electrical Networks Alexander Batayev, Chairman of the Council of Veterans of the branch Vladimir Skrynnikov and Honoured Power Engineer of the Russian Ministry of Energy Leonid Fomenko.
Vladimir Skrynnikov, referring to the retirees, said the forthcoming updated Regulation on the Council of Veterans enhances their rights and opportunities, including through additional funding, and called the elders and the youth to share proposals for technical improvement for the effective development of the industry. Evgeny Pronyaev and Evgeny Novikov for their part also promised all available opportunities to support the power engineers, who are retired.
The creative part of the event continued with pupils of Gymnasium # 6 in Voronezh, who sang Russian folk songs and ditties, and after the concert the elder power engineers had a banquet.
According to Chairman of the Voronezh regional organization “Russian Electroprofsoyuz” Evgeny Pronyaev, celebration of the Day of the Elderly in recent years has become a tradition in Voronezhenergo. “This is not only a great occasion to thank the former power engineers for their work and make weekdays of elder people more interesting, but also a great opportunity to organize a dialogue of the older generation with young people,” — he stressed.
