Near the settlement of Krasny in the Smolensk region a solemn ceremony of opening a restored monument to the Heroes of the Patriotic War of 1812 was held.
Power engineers of Krasninsky Distribution Zone of IDGC of Centre — Smolenskenergo division did not stay away from the reconstruction of the lost years ago monument. They provided the lighting of the monument and the surrounding area, for which the following equipment was installed: a pole-mounted transformer substation with a capacity of 10 kW and 300 meters of a high-voltage 10 kV overhead line.
Governor of the Smolensk region Alexey Ostrovsky and State Secretary of the Union State of Russia and Belarus Grigory Rapota were present at the opening of the monument as guests of honour. From IDGC of Centre — Smolenskenergo division the glorious Krasninsky land was visited by representatives of the Board of Veterans, the Department of Public Relations and Krasninsky Distribution Zone, headed by its chief - Vyacheslav Meshkov.
Such monuments were previously erected in several cities in the country, but to this day only one was preserved in its original form - in the center of Smolensk. This year, the monument was restored in Polotsk, Belarusian specialists came to take the measures just from the Smolensk monument. "As for the monument in Krasny, it was dismantled in 1931, and we are pleased that that after 81 years it appeared in our land again, and the power engineers have their credits of it", - said the chief of Krasninsky Distribution Zone Vyacheslav Meshkov.
During the celebrations, flowers were laid at the monument, as well as military-historical reenactment of an episode of Krasninsky battles of the Patriotic War in 1812 was set.
Please, be reminded that earlier, in the second stage of the All-Russian socio-environmental action "Distribution grid complex - for the protection of the environment", dedicated to the holding of the annual planting of greenery, employees of Krasninsky Distribution Zone in May 2012 along the road to the monument planted the Avenue of Power Engineers of 120 birch trees, which all those present at the opening of the monument were able to appreciate.
"Such an important and necessary thing is pleasant to do with colleagues, indifferent to the problem. I thank all those who responded and joined in efforts to rebuild the monument,"- said the head of the municipal administration "Krasninsky urban settlement" Mikhail Isachenkov.
