Belgorodenergo performed grid connection of a piste in Belgorod

IDGC of Centre — Belgorodenergo division completed work on grid connection to electric networks of a being built ski complex in the settlement of Dubovoye in the Belgorod region. The rated power was 1 MW.

To ensure reliable power supply of the infrastructure of the ski complex a new 10-0.4 kV distribution centre, and two cable lines of cross-linked polyethylene were constructed.

The ski complex being built in Dubovoye will mark the first sports facility of such type in the Belgorod region. It will include a piste with a length of 300 meters, double chairs and drag lifts, a two-storeyed building with a hotel and restaurant, a cable car, an own snowmaking system with five posts, and a sewer pumping station. While designing the natural terrain was taken into account. The construction was made possible by the Federal Target Program “Development of physical culture and sports in Russia for 2006-2015”. It is planned that the complex will become a palace of winter sports, which combines winter sports and recreation — from mountain skiing activities and snowboards to sledges (snow tubing), ice skating rinks and winter attractions.

“The appearance of the ski complex — a welcome event for Belgorod residents. Fans of the sport more than once had spoken in favour of its construction, for the next equipped piste is located in Kharkiv. We are pleased to participate in the project that aims to develop the sport, to promote a healthy lifestyle”, — underlined Deputy General Director of IDGC of Centre — Belgorodenergo division director Roman Tkachenko.
