Veterans of IDGC of Centre — Kostromaenergo division take an active part in the activities of the company

At the beginning of autumn in Kostromaenergo several events with the participation of veterans of the branch were held. As part of activities related to the 400th anniversary of the Romanov dynasty, which will be held in the Kostroma region in 2013, the Veterans’ Council and the Youth Council took a fascinating journey to the village of Susanino, the home of the Russian patriot Ivan Susanin.

In the tour, emphasis was put on the role of the Kostroma region in the Russian history: the calling to the throne of Michael Romanov in the Ipatiev Monastery, the feat of Ivan Susanin in the name of the tsar. The visit of the Clean Marsh left an indelible mark with theatrical characters of the era where Susanin made the feat. Young people helped the veterans on the thorny path through the swamp, discussed the historical background of past events at this memorial site.

September 7 by the forces of the Veterans’ Council, the trade union organization of Kostromaenergo and department of social relations an exhibition “Gifts of Autumn” was held. The veterans created an unusual vegetable and berry composition of products grown on their own garden. All the staff was able to enjoy the autumn treats.

With the end of one event the preparation began for another. In mid-September, the traditional chess tournament among veterans will take place, and October 1, on the Elderly Person Day the Kostroma branch of IDGC of Centre will host the celebration of those who at one time worked at Kostromaenergo.

“This systematic work is conducted at the branch during the year, — says the Head of Human Resources of IDGC of Centre — Kostromaenergo division Nadezhda Muravyova. — Now we are preparing for the competition of veterans’ organizations for the best work on patriotic education. We honour our veterans, thank them and try to make their lives brighter”.
