Kostromaenergo increases revenues from value-added services

For the fourth year IDGC of Centre — Kostromaenergo division has been providing customers with additional services. In 2012 the work on the development and promotion of additional services on the market of Kostroma and Kostroma region has been made more activate.

The revenue from the provision of additional services for 6 months was 15.9 million rubles, which is 27.5% more than in the same period of 2011.

The proceeds from the sale of additional services are directed to the modernization of the equipment of the electric grid in the Kostroma region. There is significant growth of interest of municipal formations and entities the services rendered by the branch to repair, manage and maintain customer outdoor lighting networks, electrical networks of 110-0.4 kV and transformer substations. For 6 months of the year 85 applications for long-term contracts have been received from the above representatives, which is 15% higher than last year.

In the first half of 2012, IDGC of Centre — Kostromaenergo division performed repair of street lighting within the regional program “Light bulb”. The program was developed by the administration of the Kostroma region in conjunction with specialists of Kostromaenergo in January 2012. Kostroma power engineers of IDGC of Centre completed the restoration and upgrading of outdoor lighting networks in more than 200 settlements of the Kostroma region. For just a month Kostroma branch’s power engineers replaced about 700 outdoor lighting lamps, repaired and changed more than 300 lighting fixtures. Overall, in the six months of the year IDGC of Centre — Kostromaenergo division services 7,075 lights, 104 departmental transformer substations.

Still one of the most promising directions in the development of additional services is replacement, installation of electric power metering systems. For 6 months of the year in this area 4585 contracts worth 5.6 million rubles have been concluded.

To date, the branch’s specialists provide advice on ways to reduce the cost of operation and maintenance of existing equipment, explain how to obtain additional resource savings by using new energy efficient equipment. Particular attention when dealing with potential clients is given to the possibility of using multi-tariff rate intelligent devices and systems of electric energy metering and in-house and street lighting energy-saving systems. Among the services offered are the transfer of power lines from land plots of customers, commissioning, maintenance and repair of electrical equipment, installation (replacement) of electricity meters and metering cabinets. On the customer request, in industry and in the household sector the branch performs testing and diagnostics of electrical equipment, including high voltage and electric protection devices, installation and commissioning of automated information-measuring systems for commercial metering (AMR). Staff of Customer Relationship Office of Kostromaenergo constantly works to promote the services, inform and provide guidance to customers about additional services, prices, places for filing applications, timing of execution of works. “We have established a system of feedback from contractors, which helps analyze the level of quality of services, — says Head of marketing and value added services section IDGC of Centre — Kostromaenergo division Larisa Bravaya. — To determine the demand, we constantly conduct written questionnaires and personally talk to customers and listen to all their wishes. We are particularly pleased that those clients who come to us for the first time in the majority come back to us again — it is an important indicator of customer focus”.
