Power engineers of IDGC of Centre contribute to the development of the Kostroma hinterland

12.07.2012

Employees of IDGC of Centre — Kostromaenergo division have provided electricity supply to a new school in the settlement of Talitsa in Buyskiy district. The opening of the new school building was held recently.

Kostroma power engineers were involved in its construction from the beginning of work. A 0.4 kV line passed through the premises where now the new school is located. As early as 2007 employees of Kostromaenergo removed the line from the construction site.

When the building was completed, power engineers constructed a tap with its length of about 400 meters from a 10 kV conductor for the school’s grid connection. Especially for the power supply of the school the branch’s employees installed a new transformer substation with its capacity of 160 kVA, laid two cables to the building with a total length of 260 meters.

“Opening a new school building became a holiday not only for 600 residents of the settlement of Talitsa, but for all the neighboring settlements. Children of several villages nearby will gain their knowledge at the new school. We, power engineers, are very pleased that with our work we contribute to the development of our own district”, — says Chief Engineer of Buyskiy District of Electrical Networks of Kostromaenergo Sergey Pashkov.
