Head of the General Directorate of the Russian Emergencies Ministry in the Yaroslavl region, Major General, Pavel Baryshev thanked power engineers of IDGC of Centre – Yarenergo division for reliable operation of the electric grid of the Yaroslavl region. A relevant letter was received addressed to the branch director Igor Solonikov.
Adverse weather conditions in May this year a few times were the causes of power interruptions of consumers in the Yaroslavl region. In each case, power engineers of the branch quickly eliminated the effects of the weather and restored electricity supply to infrastructure facilities.
"The well-coordinated work of operators, operational crews and maintenance personnel of IDGC of Centre – Yarenergo division is to be mentioned who showed excellence in eliminating the interruptions of the electricity supply to consumers", - said the letter. Pavel Baryshev also highly appreciated the business approach of power engineers to their work, their tight interaction with the regional government and the public.
In June 2011 IDGC of Centre – Yarenergo division and the General Directorate of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia in the Yaroslavl region signed an agreement on information exchange in the field of protection of residents from emergency situations. It facilitated coordination of joint actions of rescuers and power engineers to address the effects of adverse weather conditions in the region and the restoration of power supply to consumers.
