On the territory of Krivtsovskн memorial, located in Bolkhovsky district, celebrations were held in the framework of the historical and commemorative action "Victory Banner Relay". Deputy General Director of IDGC of Centre - Orelenergo division director Alexander Letyagin passed for eternal storage to all Districts of Electrical Networks of the company 24 copies of the legendary Banner of Victory, erected atop the fallen Reichstag by soldiers of the Idritskaya Division in May 1945.
By handing over a copy of the symbol of courage and heroism of Soviet people, Alexander Letyagin stressed: "Nowadays, it is important to preserve the memory of the most important events in the country’s history. I wish each of you to remember and tell his or her family and friends about what the Victory Banner looks like, on how it was seen by those who fought to the last gasp for the Victory".
The celebrations, dedicated to the transfer of copies of the Victory Banner to the Districts of Electrical Networks of the branch, were held with the participation of Veterans’ and Youth Councils of Orelenergo, management and staff of the branch, head of the Bolkhovsky district administration and members of the international journalist motor rally "Roads of War", who on the eve of Victory Day drove the replica of the legendary Victory Banner through 6 countries.
