Anniversary of Yarenergo was celebrated with fun and activities

IDGC of Centre – Yarenergo division celebrated the 78th anniversary of the formation of the Yaroslavl power sysstem. The executive office of the branch organized a celebratory event for employees, as well as sporting events were held to mark the memorable date.

The branch’s staff was congratulated on the Birthday of the power system by Deputy Director for Economics and Finance of Yarenergo Kirill Kamyshinsky, Acting Director of the Department of Energy and Tariff Regulation of the Yaroslavl region Vasily Potapov, as well as representatives of the trade union and youth council of the branch. All of them reported an increase in professional skills of the staff of Yarenergo and wished power engineers trouble-free and safe operation.

In the festive atmosphere Yaroslavl power engineers remembered achievements of the last year’s operation: the increase in the investment program, the implementation of large-scale repair campaigns, commissioning and start construction of new electricity supply facilities, and, of course, successful completion of the autumn-winter period. Youth Council arranged for the participants of the festive event a humorous quiz on knowledge of the history of Yarenergo. Key events of the past in the local power system from the electrification plan and the launch of the first tram up to the introduction of self-supporting insulated wire and the opening of the substation "Kotorosl" were well known to the contemporary Yaroslavl power engineers.

The most active employees celebrated the holiday at the stadium – on the Power System Day corporate events in football and athletics were held in the branch. The team of the executive office of Yarenergo was the best in handling the ball. In the hundred-meter race the fastest was Engineer of operation and technology Service Kirill Malikov and Engineer of the future development Department Lydia Bogolapova. In the 3 kilometer men’s race the first was Electrician of Bolsheselsky District of Electrical Networks Alexey Ulyakin.

"Our industry cannot stand stagnation. All 78 years the Yaroslavl Power System has been actively developing. Production figures grew, facilities were constructed, and experience was accumulated. I am sure that after 10 and 50 years the electricity supply in the Yaroslavl region will be in reliable hands.
