A Safety Day was held in all Districts of Electrical Networks (DEN) of IDGC of Centre — Tambovenergo division, during which staff had their special training and instruction meetings. The main purpose of such activities that are conducted regularly in the branch is prevention of electric injuries, monitoring compliance with the rules of electrical safety and labor protection.
IDGC of Centre — Tambovenergo division is actively preparing for the next repair campaign. Therefore, special attention is paid to verification of compliance with rules and safety regulations in the performance of current and comprehensive repairs of power equipment.
Daily employees of Tambovenergo operate electrical high voltage installations, at high elevation, in adverse conditions, so much importance is given to measures to prevent occupational injuries. In addition, the security of electricity supply to all consumers depends on the quality of work of power engineers in the field. In accordance with the Safety Day’s program the practical skills of operational, maintenance and repair personnel were worked out on the descent of a victim from a pole and first aid provision.
The participants of the event paid special attention to the provision of personnel with individual protective equipment, state of sanitation facilities and personal service rooms, performance of measures to reduce electricity losses in the grid, and compliance with the permit-work order system.
The results, obtained during the Safety Day, will increase the personnel’s responsibility for the observance of standards and safety regulations which, in turn, will help to minimize the probability of occurrence of occupational accidents.

Tambovenergo pays considerable attention not only to the safety of the branch’s employees, but contractors who work at power facilities, as well as third parties, in particular, adolescents and children”, — stressed Head of Production Control and Safety Office of IDGC of Centre -Tambovenergo division Sergey Simon.
