In the name of General Director of IDGC of Centre Dmitry Gudzhoyan letters of gratitude were received from a number of heads of municipal administrations of the Smolensk region, including Monastyrschinsky District — Yury Petrov, Demidovsky District — Alexander Semenov, Elninsky District — Vyacheslav Shestaev, for the reliable and uninterrupted power supply in the region of the Election Day of Russian President on March 4, 2012.

Head of Administration of Vyazemsky district also highly appreciated the contribution of Smolenskenergo represented by its director Sabir Agamaliev to the stable power supply in the territory, in particular, on March 4, 2012.

During the election campaign of President of Russia an unplanned inspection of all electrical equipment was organized in Smolenskenergo, which supplied electricity to 810 polling stations and 29 Territorial Election Commissions, conducted trainings for operators and first responders with connection of redundant power supply sources. Interaction with all utilities companies and authorities was set. As a result of these activities, the elections were held in accordance with the requirements of the Central Election Commission.
