21.03.2012

IDGC of Centre — Smolenskenergo division implemented its repair program in 2011 according to the planned schedule. Smolensk branch of IDGC of Centre in the past year spent 165.2 million rubles on the repair program, thus ensuring the effective functioning and development of the region’s electric grid.

67.8 million rubles were allocated for repair of cable and overhead power lines of 0.4-110 kV, for 6-110 kV substation repair — 44.8 million rubles, buildings and facilities — 15.4 million rubles. 23.2 million rubles were invested in the repair of motor vehicles, 14 million rubles were spent on other expenses provided for the repair program.

Specialists of Smolenskenergo in 2011 comprehensively renovated more than 590.67 km of power lines of 35-110 kV, 21 substations of 35-110 kV with a total capacity of 290.1 MVA, more than 1983.71 kilometers of 0.4-10 kV power lines and 541 transformer substation of 6-10/0, 4 kV with a total capacity of 104.77 MVA.

Particular attention is paid within the implementation of the repair program to the clearing and expansion of ROWs. Over the past year power engineers cleared 1441.43 hectares of ROWs along 6-110 kV overhead lines from trees and shrubs, having spent 23.78 million rubles on that work. Apart from the ROWs clearing also the ROWs expansion along 6-110 kV overhead power lines was made in the amount of 665.76 hectares. These measures significantly reduce the risk of falling trees onto wires, thus reducing the chance of damage to overhead lines.

With the help of modern methods of organizing the repair program the branch significantly reduces logistical costs and improves the quality of work.
