Makaryevsky District of Electrical Networks of IDGC of Centre — Kostromaenergo division received a letter of thanks from the head of the Makaryevsky municipal district Pavel Sharonov for their work on the preparation and uninterrupted power supply during the winter X sports games for prizes of Governor of the Kostroma region.
Winter sports games for prizes of the head of the region are held annually in different parts of the Kostroma region. 500 athletes from 30 municipalities in the region, universities, and institutions of primary and secondary vocational education gathered for the anniversary, tenth event in the city of Makaryev. The participants competed in such sports as winter polyathlon, ski racing, short track, air gun shooting and others. By tradition, the fire of the sports in Makaryev was lit by the Olympic champions Alevtina Olyunina and Alexander Golubev.
To ensure an uninterrupted power supply of the gaming site the power engineers of Makaryevsky DEN installed a few poles, about 90 m of self-supporting insulated wire and lights on the stage. The lighting of the Makaryevsky airfield, which hosted the main part of the competition, was provided under a contract with the district administration.
