IDGC of Centre - Voronezhenergo division focuses on the development of human resources

06.03.2012

Maintaining a high level of staff is an important part of the personnel policy of IDGC of Centre, which is being implemented in its Voronezh branch. 1187 employees of Voronezhenergo had their training in different areas this year.

Power engineers perfected their skills of safe performance of work and labor protection, had their retraining and skills improvement in the specialty of “master of maintenance and operation of metering devices”, “bucket operator”, “electrician of distribution networks”, “mobile crew electrician”, “slinger”, “chain saw operator”, etc.

Retraining and advanced training was carried out according to special programs on the site of the Voronezh Training Center “Energetic”, Voronezh State Agricultural University after Peter I, Voronezh Vocational Training Centre, St. Petersburg Power Engineering Institute of Advanced Training, Penza Teaching and Methodical Center “Power Engineering”, Cheboksary Center “EKRA” and industrial and training centres of Liski, Kalach and Bobrov.

Staff of Human Resources Office of the branch performed targeted work to organize joint activities with universities in the country in order to attract young professionals, as well as to support and develop its human resources potential. For example, in 2011, senior students from various universities of energy specialties of Voronezh visited the training centre in the village of Volya in the Voronezh region. During the tour the students and pupils got acquainted with modern equipment of the branch and the work of Voronezh power engineers.

In addition, last year’s spring, Human Resources Office of the branch participated in personal distributions of graduates from leading universities, which train energy specialists. Power engineers met with the graduates of Ivanovo State Power Engineering University (ISPEU), South Russian State Technical University (SRSTU, Novocherkassk), Voronezh State Technical University and International Institute of Computer Technology. Power engineers told the students about job prospects, working conditions and career development of young professionals in Voronezhenergo. Three graduates of ISPEU and four of SRSTU were recruited in Voronezhsky and Ramonsky Districts of Electrical Networks for the posts of an operator, an engineer for calculations and relay protection engineer. “Voronezhenergo pays great attention to work with young people, because utilities are the industry with a high level of social responsibility, interested in specialists with a high level of vocational training. Annually Voronezhenergo takes a set of interrelated measures for the preservation and efficient development of human resources”, — said Head of Human Resources Office of the branch Evgeny Novikov.
