Kostroma power engineers improve their professional skills

A specialized training to personnel of the metering department, aimed at improvement of their professional, social and psychological competence, was held in IDGC of Centre — Kostromaenergo division. The trainers were Ph.D. in Psychology, Head of Public Relations Department of Kostromaenergo Tatiana Drozdova and Specialist of social relationships Section, psychologist Zoya Krestenko.

The event was attended by 34 electricians who operate electricity meters of Galichsky, Buysky, Chukhlomsky and Soligalichsky Districts of Electrical Networks (DEN). The training’s primary goal was to increase the competence of personnel in terms of conflict resolution, as well as exploring forms of stress management. During the training the electricians took part in business games to build skills for effective conflict resolution in a dialogue with consumers.

In the course of a business game the power engineers determined the types of conflicts, revealed skills for their strategic resolution, development of their knowledge and skills, building strong and productive relationships with colleagues and customers. For the successful learning the theoretical material the participants’ training program included problem situations to deal with and role playing.

A similar training was also held in December with experts of the metering department of the City, Kostroma and Nerekhtsky DENs. It was attended by 31 people.

Along with the psychological coaching Head of electricity metering Office of the branch Elena Nemchinova conducted a technical training for electricians to use electricity meters. She discussed the work with meters, tested the theoretical knowledge of instrumental checks of these devices, knowledge of the requirements of regulations in terms of their service.

“The seminar in the form of a business game brings a great result, because it allows participants to fully immerse themselves in a difficult situation and find the best options for getting out of it, — said Head of Human Resources Office of IDGC of Centre — Kostromaenergo Nadezhda Muravyeva. — Every specialist will use his experience gained in his professional activities”.
