Last year, IDGC of Centre — Orelenergo division received about three thousand requests for technological connection to the electric grid, which is a 54% increase compared to 2010. The customer contract demand was 124.54 MW.
During 2011 Orelenergo signed 2263 contracts for grid connection that is greater than the same period of the previous year by 38%. The total capacity of these contracts amounted to 45.6 MW.
About 1200 technological connections to the power grid were executed with a total capacity of 23.7 MW. Orel branch of IDGC of Centre supplied electricity to 232 companies and 957 individual dwellings.
Among the largest projects of technological connection, implemented in 2011 — two power installations of OJSC Oreloblenergo" with a total capacity of 1.85 MW, production shops of private entrepreneur Zakharov I.I. in the settlement of Streletsky at 0.55 MW, a fire station of “Doca-Stroy” LLC in Livny at 0.25 MW, cluster home community “Big Hills” at 0.25 MW, as well as a potato storage of SPPSSK “Velez-Milk” in Maloarkhangelsky district at 0.4 MW.
“This leap is associated with strong growth indicators of socio-economic activities of the region, productive work with customers of technological connections. Every year the branch has the increasing number of requests and the pace of development increases: new substations and power lines are commissioned, the existing grid and power equipment is reconstructed and retrofitted. Thus, the branch not only provides stable energy supply in the region, but also directly affects the development of various sectors of the economy of the Orel community”, — said Head of technological connections Office of Orelenergo Alexey Danilov.
