Leading specialist of integrated management systems Department of IDGC of Centre — Lipetskenergo division Xenia Ignatenko has become one of the winners of the regional annual contest “Engineer of the Year — 2011”. The main purpose of the contest, organized by the Department of Industry, Small and Medium Business of the Lipetsk region is to increase the professionalism and attractiveness of the work of engineers.
The contest was held in three categories: “Engineering of the Young” — for participating in the contest young professionals under 30 years inclusive; “Professional Engineers” — for participants who have work experience as an engineer for at least 5 years; “Inventors and innovators” in 14 nominations.
The work of Xenia Ignatenko on the subject “Building a comprehensive system for managing business processes within increase of performance and efficiency of the QMS operation based on the requirements of ISO 9001:2008” won in the nomination “Quality Management” in the category “Engineering of the Young”.
Awarding the winners, “the most deserving people”, according to Head of Administration of the Lipetsk Region Oleg Korolyov, was held during the commemorative event in the regional administration of the city.
“My first participation in the contest ‘Engineer of the Year’ was in 2006. Then I did not win the prizes. Today’s victory is very significant for me as a reflection of my professional development over the past five years and a major motivation for further growth. Opportunity for professional development is an important factor for many young professionals. All conditions are in place in IDGC of Centre, which gives me great confidence in the future”, — commented Xenia Ignatenko.
