Orelenergo summed up the campaign “Report on the theft”

IDGC of Centre — Orelenergo division on a permanent basis conducts the campaign “Report on the theft”. During 2011 the branch received over 100 customer messages on unauthorized connections to the grid. The inspections revealed 13 facts, which support the theft of electricity in the distribution networks in the volume of 36.5 thousand kWh. Currently, more than half of all the revealed facts of theft of electricity have been already paid for by debtors.

Acts of non-metered electricity consumption for the amount of more than 93 thousand rubles were made up for all the violations. The violations have been eliminated, and users of free electricity have been given notice for the installation/replacement of their metering device and the lead-in wire from the insulators of the high voltage line pole to the meter without an interruption.

Stealing electricity and illegal connections to the grid of the branch entails deterioration of power supply quality in your homes and failure of household appliances.
