Smolensk power engineers of IDGC of Centre improve their skills

IDGC of Centre — Smolenskenergo division summed up the training, retraining and advanced training of its personnel for 2011. More than 6.7 million rubles were spent on the staff training in that period.

Over the past year 267 people had their training courses (64 managers, 77 experts and 126 workers). The education is aimed at increasing knowledge and strengthening skills in the areas of professional competence.

In addition, managers and specialists had their training in the field of industrial safety of hazardous production facilities, labor protection, rules of handling the hazardous waste, fire protection, etc. Totally in different directions and forms 1384 employees of the branch were trained in 2011.

Twelve employees of Industrial Control and Safety Office of Smolenskenergo were trained on the qualification of instructors-resuscitators. These skills will help in the future more professionally to train personnel of the branch of the rules and methods of first aid.

101 employees of the branch improved their skills, 11 employees were trained in the vocational training program “Electric power systems and grid” in the training centers “Energetic” and “Expertenergo” of a branch of the “National Research University “MPEI” in the city of Smolensk, with which Smolenskenergo had concluded a cooperation agreement.

Managers and professionals attended workshops, were taught in training courses in educational institutions in Moscow, St. Petersburg, Ivanovo, Penza and others. Five people are continuing their education to obtain a second higher education, one is enrolled in a master’s of MGIMO. Skills improvement, vocational training and retraining were provided for workers in order to develop fundamental, second and adjacent blue-collar occupations.

In 2012, a variety of training activities is also planned. In particular, 10 instructors-resuscitators will be prepared, more than 230 employees will be trained and be certified in the field of industrial safety of hazardous production facilities, 38 managers and operation professionals will improve their skills, 17 managers and experts in metering and sales of electricity, 80 employees will be sent to training in the basic working profession of electricians of various specializations, 78 will improve their skills in the same areas. Over 7 million rubles will be spent for these purposes.
