IDGC of Centre - Kurskenergo division offers consumers to work together for the quality of power supply

26.12.2011

Kursk power engineers of IDGC of Centre summarized the work on prevention and suppression of facts of non-metered and non-contracted consumption.

Since the beginning of the year Kurskenergo has filed 1056 acts of non-metered electricity consumption, the amount of stolen electricity is 5.45 million kWh.

In addition, 147 cases of non-contracted consumption through illegal connection to electric networks have been revealed, for which 1.3 million rubles have been paid in the pretrial order, the court recovered more than 190 thousand rubles.

Often poor quality of supply voltage in the mains is due to electricity theft, unauthorized connection of power installations to the electrical grid. In apartment buildings, equipped with common in-house metering devices, in the case of illegal use of electricity by unscrupulous consumers, the difference in the amount of electricity, metered by a common in-house metering device and individual meters is distributed among all residents. Thus, conscientious payers have to pay for electricity stolen by unscrupulous tenants.

Employees of Kurskenergo call upon their customers to work together against unscrupulous users and take an active part in the campaign of IDGC of Centre «Report of theft». To participate in the campaign, please, call the Direct Power Hot Line at 8800 50 50 115 (toll free) and report a case of electricity theft. You may also leave a message on a fact of electricity theft at a specific address on the website at www.mrsk-1.ru or in customer boxes of Customer Service Centers of Kurskenergo in cities of Kursk, Lgov, Zheleznogorsk, Oboyan and Shchigry.

Targeted work of IDGC Center for the prevention of electricity theft and power equipment allows it to minimize the number of illegal connections, thus providing reliable power supply to law-abiding consumers.
