In 2011 power engineers of IDGC of Centre — Tambovenergo division performed a comprehensive overhaul of the substation (SS) 35/10 kV «Zarechnaya» in order to improve the technical characteristics of equipment and ensure uninterrupted power supply to customers. During the overhaul five 35 kV oil switches were repaired with replacement of 19 high-voltage bushings of 35 kV voltage, 11 oil circuit breakers of 10 kV voltage, two power transformers and two auxiliary transformers, bus sections of 35 and 10 kV voltage. Tambov power engineers of IDGC Center also repaired oil receivers for oil-filled equipment, cable channels, reinforced concrete and metal structures, lighting and fencing of the station, replaced 35, 10 kV lightning protectors for surge arresters.
To ensure a high level of safety in the operation of the electric installation the restoration of electromagnetic locks on 35 kV disconnectors. These electromagnetic locks are designed to eliminate the possibility of erroneous switching on and off a switching device (disconnector).

Substation 35/10 kV «Zarechnaya», located in the city of Morshansk in the Tambov region, was commissioned in 1982. The capacity of the substation is 5 MVA. SS «Zarechnaya» feeds consumers of Morshansk and Morshansky district of the Tambov region. The largest consumers are the city of Morshansk, OJSC «Morshansk Brewery» and Morshansky forestry. SS 35/10 kV «Zarechnaya» is a transit substation, through which electricity overflows between electric grids of Morshansky and Pichaevsky districts of the Tambov region.
