On the eve of the Power Engineers’ Day Orelenergo summed up the annual journalist contest “Energy — our work”, which is held by power engineers in conjunction with the regional Union of Journalists.
The main objective is to identify the best publications, TV and radio materials on the topic of energy. of Journalists of regional, district publications, Internet — agencies and information portals, broadcasters fought for the victory who actively cover the activities of IDGC of Centre, Orelenergo and promoting achievements and best practices in the field of energy in their materials. More than 50 applications were submitted for the contest.
“We are grateful to fellow journalists for their active participation in the contest, for an objective and systematic coverage of Orelenergo activities, which certainly works in shaping a positive image of the Company. I am confident that our fruitful cooperation will continue in the new year”, — said Head of Public Relations, a member of the Russian Union of Journalists Edward Rudakov, opening the awarding ceremony.
Honorary diplomas and awards were received by the winners and laureates of the contest — representatives from nine regional, district, print and electronic media.
Among the journalists of regional print media, the winner was Deputy Editor-in-Chief of the socio-political newspaper “Orel province” Valery Avshalumov, the prize winners in this category — staff of the city weekly “Orlovsky Meridian” Elena Gurzhiy and Elena Tikhonova.
In the category “Regional periodicals” the highest honor was awarded to Editor-in-Chief of Orel district “Our Life” Evgeny Laktionov. Diplomas of prize winners were given to employees of the newspaper “Mtsensk kray”: Editor-in-Chief Valentina Michurina and reporter Antonina Kurlaeva. Also in this category the materials of the reporter of “Livensky newspaper” Irina Koroleva were marked.
The prize for the best series of broadcasts on television was given to TV “Orel” channel of the branch “All-Russian State Television and Radio Broadcasting Company” for the television project “Our energy — Orel”: Irina Kostina and Tatiana Kostomarova. Correspondent of the radio station “Silver rain — OrelGTU” Oleg Zaitsev was given an award from power engineers for his radio spots.
The main prize in the nomination for the best journalistic work of representatives of Internet agencies was given to Deputy Editor-in-Chief of the online edition of the Orel region “Orel — Region.rf” Lyudmila Fedosova. The prize winner in this category is Editor-in-Chief of IA “City Info” Irina Krakhmaleva. Chairman of the Regional Union of Journalists Galina Petrova was awarded an honorary diploma for the support for social actions and communication projects of Orelenergo.
“I am pleased to note that Orel journalists are true professionals, many of which are not the first year working with Orelenergo. In their works they can quickly highlight important pieces of news, intelligently present relevant material and focus public attention on an issue of the energy industry. In 2012, the 55th anniversary of the founding of Orelenergo will be marked. In connection with this event, we hope to have closer and more fruitful cooperation between the media and Department of Public Relations of the division”, — noted Deputy General Director of IDGC of Centre — Orelenergo division director Alexander Letyagin.
