IDGC of Centre — Tverenergo division received an award of the weekly “Arguments and Facts in Tver”

IDGC of Centre — Tverenergo division received the award “Legends of the Upper Volga”, founded by the weekly “Arguments and Facts in Tver”, in the category “Legendary coverage”.

The newspaper under the heading “Legends of the Upper Volga” publishes articles about the best companies and organizations which have entered the golden fund of the Tver region. Journalists talk about architectural gems and shrines of the Tver region, symbols of the region, secret and little known historical facts of the life of the provincial capital and its districts.

Tverenergo was distinguished as the largest grid company in the region thanks to which the inhabitants of even the most remote corners of the region have electricity. Today, IDGC of Centre — Tverenergo division consists of 36 Districts of Electrical Networks. In the service area of the Tver branch of IDGC of Center there are more than 11 000 transformer substations of all voltage classes and the total length of lines is more than 46 thousand kilometers.

“Tverenergo is proud of its rich history, and can rightly be considered a legend of the Upper Volga. For the past 75 years, the power industry has kept pace with the development of the region. For many decades a great deal of work has been performed to increase significantly the energy potential of the region, to develop electricity networks, to upgrade power equipment, to ensure reliable power supply of the industry, agriculture and population of the Tver region”, — said Deputy General Director of IDGC of Centre — Tverenergo division director Alexander Eyst.

This year, the weekly newspaper “Arguments and Facts” awarded sixteen winners in eleven categories. Heroes of the heading “Legends of the Upper Volga” received commemorative medals and letters of thanks.
