Experts of Bryanskenergo told business representatives about energy efficiency

Staff of IDGC of Centre — Bryanskenergo division held a round table on energy conservation and energy efficiency for businesses. The purpose of the meeting was to acquaint visitors with the provisions of Federal Law # 261 “On energy saving and energy efficiency and on amendments to certain legislative acts of the Russian Federation”.

Head of energy conservation and energy efficiency Department of the division Alexey Burenok told the guests about the key points of the law. Particular attention was paid to the need for energy audits. In accordance with Federal Law # 261, the budgetary organizations, businesses that pay for consumed energy exceeding 10 million rubles per year, as well as organizations that perform regulated activities must necessarily go through energy audits. Such organizations must have their energy audit no later than December 31, 2012. Failure to comply with the terms of the mandatory energy audit entails the imposition of an administrative penalty.
