08.12.2011

For 10 months 2011 specialists of IDGC of Centre — Belgorodenergo division have recorded in the territory of the Belgorod region 287 cases of damage to power equipment of the division by third parties. Specialists of IDGC of Centre — Belgorodenergo division remind of the fact that in addition to the threat of power outages of entire communities, such cases can be dangerous to human life and health.

The most common cases are runovers of motor vehicles onto poles of power lines (PL) 0.4 — 10 kV, and breaks of cable lines by third party organizations during excavation. The total amount of damage from the beginning of the year has reached more than 4 million rubles. For 10 months 1.8 million rubles have been compensated to the division. Claim-related work is under way for the remaining sum.

The greatest number of damages was recorded in Belgorod and Belgorod district. An illustrative case occurred in south-western district of the regional centre. In the course of excavation by a third party organization heavily damaged a 10 kV cable line from the 110 kV substation “Western”. Court of Arbitration of the Belgorod region ruled to recover from the organization of more than 190 thousand rubles to compensate for damage to the division.

A similar incident occurred in the settlement of Razumnoye of Belgorod district. During excavation a 0,4 kV cable line from the 110 kV packaged transformer substations “Vitamin Plant” was damaged. The organization also recovered Belgorodenergo more than 19 thousand rubles of damage.

One of the main causes of damage is a breach of PL exclusion zones. Power engineers call for citizens and legal entities to coordinate with utilities conducting excavation and construction works, as well as planting trees. In the event of damage to power equipment, please, immediately report by calling the Direct Power Hot Line at 8-800-50-50-115 (toll free).
