Power engineers of IDGC of Centre — Tambovenergo division completed the second phase of the complex repair of the substation (PS) 110/35/10-6 kV “Uvarovo”, which is an important supply substation of the Tambov region power system.
At the moment, fourteen 110 kV oil circuit breakers, nine oil switches 35 kV have been repaired, oil-drip facilities for oil-filled equipment, cable channels, reinforced concrete and metal structures, lighting and fencing of the substation has been repaired.
The repair of bus sections of 110, 35, 10, 6 kV has been completed. The building of the indoor switchgear 6, 10 kV, battery room, relay room has been renovated.
In order to improve reliability of the substation equipment 110, 35, 10, 6 kV surge arresters have been replaced. Electric arc protection was installed in 6, 10 kV bays. Ventilation motors of the substation power transformers have been replaced.
“All these measures will greatly reduce the probability of emergency situations and failures of the substation equipment, which in turn leads to an uninterrupted electricity supply for consumers — the achievement of the goal of power engineers”, — said Deputy Director for Technical Issues — Chief Engineer of IDGC of Centre — Tambovenergo division Alexander Zamotay.

SS 110/35/10 kV “Uvarovo,” located in the city of Uvarovo, was commissioned in 1977. The capacity of the substation is 42 MVA. SS “Uvarovo” feeds electricity consumers of Uvarovsky, Rzhaksinsky and Muchkapsky districts of the Tambov region. The largest consumers are the city of Uvarovo, “Granite-M” LLC, JSC Sugar Factory “Uvarovoskiy”, Brewery “Uvarovo — beer”, JSC “RZD” and JSC “Salut”.
