Tver power engineers of IDGC of Centre keep on renewing their vehicle fleet

17.11.2011

In the framework of the investment program IDGC of Centre — Tverenergo division has purchased 15 pieces of vehicles in the third quarter. All cars are distributed in Districts of Electrical Networks of the branch. About 80 million rubles have been spent on the purchase of the special vehicles.

In a solemn ceremony 4 keys for autohydraulic hoists were handed to representatives of Ostashkovsky, Kalyazinsky, Udomelsky DEN and Rzhevsky mechanization and transport Service, which will serve Zubtsovsky and Oleninsky DEN.

Selizharovsky and Kalyazinsky DEN, Nelidovsky and Rzhevsky power line services and also Torzhoksky DEN, the winner of the June contest of professional skills, have received one vehicle each. Two MAZ-based truck tractors, a mobile crane, and three heavy-duty trailers have been given to mechanization and transportation Services of the Tverenergo executive office.

In the framework of preparation for the difficult period of low temperatures Tverenergo experts carry out a seasonal maintenance of vehicles, replacement of summer tires for winter ones, check the efficiency of both the heaters cars and vans, give necessary instructions on the specifics of operating equipment in the autumn-winter period to the drivers.

Updating the fleet is especially important when power engineers are preparing for the upcoming autumn-winter period. Modern transport is important for solving power engineering tasks on ensuring a reliable electricity supply. Usage of off-highway vehicles allows to deliver quickly operational and maintenance crews to power lines and other power facilities, which are usually located in a remote wooded area. Restoration work is often complicated by severe weather conditions — an abundance of loose snow, wind and high snow cover. A reliable special vehicle is a key to operational work of emergency teams", — said Head of logistics and procurement and technical Department of the branch Yury Vidineev.

Tver power engineers are planning to purchase additional 41 pieces of special vehicles — UAZ, tracked vehicles, crew vans, drilling and crane machines.
