The amount of energy delivered in the grid of IDGC of Centre - Kurskenergo division has increased

08.11.2011

For 9 months 2011 4.2 billion kWh of electricity has been transmitted through the grid of Kurskenergo, which is higher than the same period in 2010 by 111.58 million kWh. The volume of electricity delivered has reached 3.9 billion kWh, it is by 122.23 million KWh higher than the same period last year.

The implementation of measures to reduce transmission losses of the division contributes to the increase of electrical energy transmitted and delivered: replacement of overloaded and underloaded transformers, switching off transformers in the operation modes of small loads at substations with two or more transformers, switching off transformers at substations with seasonal load. In addition, the voltage level of the grid has been brought to its nominal value, the replacement of existing 0.4 kV feeders to self-supporting insulated wire with the length of 30 km has been performed, 17 pole mounted transformer substations of 10/0,4 kV voltage of and low power have been installed to reduce the length of 0.4 kV networks.

“The observed increase in the amount of electrical energy delivered in the grid of Kursk branch of IDGC of Centre is due both to an increase in the production of large enterprises in the Kursk region, and the implementation of the energy conservation and energy efficiency program”, — notes Head of Electricity Delivery Office of IDGC of Centre — Kurskenergo division Yury Kartsev.
