Within ten days of the elderly people cultural events were organized for power engineers of Kurskenergo who are at retirement. The veterans visited the museum “Prokhorovka field”. In the museum they were told about Prokhorovka battle and the history of the land on which there was a great battle. The veterans also visited Kursk Pushkin Drama Theater and watched the play “The Marriage of Belugin” by Ostrovsky.
“Senior citizens are happy to travel to memorable places, attend exhibitions and concerts. Many of them admit that they had no time to visit places of interest before retirement”- says the Head of the social relations Department of IDGC of Centre — Kurskenergo division Igor Ivanov.
Kurskenergo pays great attention to social support of their retirees. More than 900 former employees are under the division’s care. They receive material aid, celebrations and excursions are organized for them. Each month veterans of Kurskenergo receive financial aid, money is also given for anniversaries and holidays.
“Today’s generation of power engineers of Kursk owes to veterans, so we must try to make Kursk veterans’ lives comfortable. Our retirees should feel that their dear company needs them, moreover that the basis of the company was laid by them” — noted General Director of IDGC of Centre — Kurskenergo division Alexander Pilyugin.
